Spray Paint and Stencils
I’ve been interested in creating street art since I started photographing it several years ago. My interest was peaked again during a recent vacation to France where I viewed some pieces by Jeff Aerosol (you need to look him up if you haven’t seen his stuff before). After we returned home to Tennessee, I found some videos detailing the process through which Jeff creates the stencils and uses them to create his unique artwork. I bought some spray paint this weekend and decided to give it a try. I plan on starting with a series of 3 simple stencils that I will use as logos - one for each of the 3 areas of my consulting work; photography, interaction design, and technology education. Photography was the easiest to conceptualize, so I started with that design. I’ll post pictures of the other two once I have them finished.
